Happy Valentine’s Day! You’ll find seven “alternative” Valentine’s Day ideas on PennLive in this week’s “Out with Sara” column.

Appalachian Brewing Co. is hosting “The Truth About Love,” a Valentine’s Day cabaret on Friday at its Harrisburg location. The show explores “love” in many different ways, from new and old love to heartbreak and tragedy. Four professional performers and two guest artists comprise this show, said to make you laugh -- and maybe even cry. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. $15/door.

From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, take part in Linglestown’s annual Chocolate Walk. Things start off with a pancake breakfast. Follow the red and purple balloons around town and stop into local shops for chocolate treats and other goodies along the way.

On Sunday, FED LIVE (second floor of the Federal Taphouse) is hosting a Rock’n Roll Swap Meet and Flea Market. Buy, sell, barter, trade anything from used instruments and musical gear to cameras, video equipment, rock concert-themed clothing, etc.

The event runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.
