We’ve had a taste of spring, and the weekends won’t be slowing down anytime soon.


All you longtime rock’n rollers will enjoy this: The Metron Mixer is tonight at the Blue Moose Bar and Grill in Linglestown. The event features Shea Quinn and Co. doing Sharks songs and 80s music, starting at 10 p.m., followed by Jeffrey Gaines at midnight. Other live performers play throughout the night as well. Ray Rossi will feature Recorded Metron Music between live acts.

IT’S HERE! It’s time for the 2nd annual Jersey Mike Rock + Run 5K on City Island. Pre-registration starts at 10 a.m. with food trucks and Camp Positive, featuring activities for kids! The race begins at noon and follows with more food, beer samples from Al’s of Hampden/Pizza Boy Brewing.


Then, the after-party, hosted by The River’s Michael Anthony Smith, is at Ceoltas Irish Pub with tons of live music, including Herbie, the Very Americans and The Dirty Thieving Gypsies.
