Another weekend packed with events is ahead of us. Let’s take a look at the best bets.

It’s First Friday, and that means it’s time for the monthly dance party put on by Aortic Valve. This month, they’re hosting a Customer Appreciation Party at the Raftery Room at Ceoltas Irish Pub.

They’re celebrating four years of First Fridays full of danceable tracks blending funk, soul, hip-hop, reggae, classic and indie rock and more. Meanwhile, a mix of original, popular and obscure imagery is projected larger than life.

Stop by this NEW spot for Aortic Valve, party starts at 9 p.m. and goes all night. FREE.

Support Harrisburg and get in a fun run Saturday night in the City. Harrisburg’s FIRST Glow Run is this Saturday night, and it benefits Historic Harrisburg Association and Lighten Up Harrisburg.

It’s a nighttime event that pulses through Downtown and ends with an after-party at Sawyer’s. You can REGISTER starting at 7 p.m. Saturday at Sawyer’s. The race begins at 8:30 p.m.

The event benefits projects to get Harrisburg’s street lights back on.

Hit the road and check out a brand new FREE street festival, MakersFest, in Lancaster. The event features 50 artists, screen printing (kids can print their own t-shirts!), 3-D printing demonstration, fleece to shawl activity, metal solder zone for kids (age 10 and older), wine- and coffee-making demonstrations, sidewalk chalk art. Plus, live music with the River Valley Music Collective and food truck courtyard at Building Character.

All of this takes place in the 300 block of North Queen St.,  Lancaster, from 10 a.m.t o 6 p.m.
