Judas Priest Announce 50th Anniversary Tour: See The Dates

"50 Heavy Metal Years Tour" is coming to a city near you.

Judas Priest announced their 50th anniversary tour, which will be supported by Swedish metal veterans Sabaton, earlier this week, calling it a "once in a metal lifetime event."

“Judas Priest are primed and ready to deliver the goods with our 50 Heavy Metal Years anniversary celebration stage show spectacular,” the band said in a press release. “Performing a blistering cross section of songs from our lives in metal — we can’t wait to raise horns with you again at this once in a metal lifetime event!”

The 24-date run kicks off on September 9th in Oxon Hill, Maryland and wraps up on October 17th in Las Vegas. Tickets for the "50 Heavy Metal Years Tour" go on sale to the public on Friday (February 28th), but fan-club pre-sales began on Tuesday (February 25th). Click HERE to find out more.

As fans know, the band's tour announcement comes just weeks after lead guitarist Richie Faulkner revealed on Twitter that he, Glen Tipton and Rob Halford were preparing to start the songwriting process for the band's 19th studio album.

Earlier this month, Richie updated fans by sharing a photo of the trio in the studio, which he captioned, "Giving birth to new metal babies. #judaspriest writing sessions 2020 with grand master Tipton and the Mg RHRF DOTF #forgingthesteel."
