Hershey, Pennsylvania, will host a qualifier for Nathan's Famous Fourth of July International Hot Dog Eating Championship on Friday (June 19) at the Hersheypark Boardwalk. This event is the final chance for competitive eaters to secure a spot in the renowned July 4th contest held at Coney Island.
The qualifier, set to begin at 2 p.m. EST, will see participants competing to consume as many Nathan's Famous hot dogs as possible in 10 minutes. The top male and female competitors will advance to the main event in Brooklyn. As reported by Major League Eating, this event promises high stakes and intense competition.
Hersheypark, known for its chocolate and thrilling rides, adds another feather to its cap by hosting this prestigious event. Robert Gordon, a Hersheypark representative, expressed excitement about offering unique experiences, noting that the contest brings something special to the park. CBS 21 highlighted that the event draws some of the world's best competitive eaters to Hershey.
