(Harrisburg, PA) -- Police in Harrisburg are searching for the driver of a vehicle involved in a deadly hit-and-run last month. Investigators say they have surveillance photos of a woman who is believed to have been the driver in the crash June 27th near South 13th and Derry Streets. They are also circulating a photo of a man believed to have been a passenger in her vehicle that night. Anyone who recognizes either person is asked to contact city police.

(Harrisburg, PA) -- Governor Tom Wolf is considering signing into law two bills aiming to deal with police reform. The bills that are on the governor’s desk would require thorough background checks when hiring police officers and would require more training on the use of force. They would also try to deal with bias and racial and economic backgrounds.

(Harrisburg, PA) -- US Senator Pat Toomey is calling a potential extension of the 600-dollar-per-week unemployment add-on a misguided policy. Speaking at a PA Chamber event Tuesday, Toomey said the payment will ultimately separate people from their employer and from their career. Toomey said he would not support an extension while US Senator Bob Casey is a co-sponsor on a bill that would extend the benefit. In a statement, Casey said we have a long road ahead before the economy gets back on its feet.

(Harrisburg, PA) -- Officials with FedEx Ground are looking to hire 300 workers in the Harrisburg area. Company representatives say they are looking for people who are interested in helping to deliver packages and be part of their ground team to apply on their website. Interested candidates must be at least 18 years old.

(Upper Allen Twp., PA) -- Police in Upper Allen Township are looking for the operator of a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run Sunday morning on Route 15 southbound. It’s believed 24-year-old Eleona Hodge of Dillsburg was driving and fled the scene after the single vehicle wreck. Police are also trying to determine what led to the crash.

(Manor Twp., PA) -- No people or animals are hurt after a farm fire in Manor Township, Lancaster County Tuesday. The blaze broke out yesterday morning at Kleen Acres Alpaca Farm on the 300-block of Blue Lane. It’s believed the homeowner heard an explosion coming from a grain dryer in their barn. Fire department officials say the grain dryer is owned by former cyclist Floyd Landis to dry hemp. A state police fire marshal is investigating.

>>Undercover Cops Find Illegal Fireworks Cache In Vehicle At Cumru Township Fireworks Tent

(Cumru Twp., PA) -- Police in Cumru Township say they found a large quantity of illegal fireworks in the parking lot of a vehicle at a Berks County fireworks stand. Undercover officers say they discovered the fireworks being sold at a tent set up in a parking lot for the Shillington Shopping Center on East Lancaster Avenue. The tent’s attendant was selling the illegal fireworks out of his personal vehicle. It’s also reported police have received information on illegal fireworks sold at tents in Caernarvon and Spring Townships as well.

>>Rise In COVID-19 Cases Attributed To Younger Population

(Lehigh, PA) -- The Pennsylvania Department of Health is saying that COVID-19 is appearing more in younger adults than those of the age of 50 or over. Officials say the average age of patients with COVID-19 has been decreasing slightly, which leads them to believe there's an increase in younger people being diagnosed with the virus. So far in the northeast Pennsylvania region this month, the 19 to 24-year-old group has accounted for 16-percent of cases as compared to six-percent in April. That being said, the age group with the most hospitalizations and deaths related to the virus is people who are 65 or older.

(Lehigh, PA) -- Former Vice President Joe Biden is coming to Pennsylvania to campaign the same day as current Vice President Mike Pence. Biden plans on touring a metal works plant in Dunmore and to speak on his economic recovery plan. Meanwhile, Pence will be attending a fundraiser at Kreider Farms in Lancaster County then later talk about the economy at Rajant Corporation in Philadelphia.

>>Two Women Speak Publicly Over Encounters With Schuylkill County Commissioner

(Pottsville, PA) -- Two women are speaking up about their encounters with Schuylkill County Commissioner George Halcovage, who violated several county policies including verbal and sexual harassment. The two women say the commissioner screamed at them while they were at the county courthouse, even blocking one of them from leaving an elevator with his arm, just to scream at her over an email. The women say Halcovage is a serial harasser and that he needs to step down from office. A county investigation found that Halcovage did violate policies. Last week, he removed himself as chairman of the commissioners, but he has denied any wrongdoing.
