The Great Resignation Had A Lot To Do With Pets

The pandemic has changed how we view pets… for the better.

Here’s a hint about the shift: six-in-10 people have left a job because the office they returned to wasn’t pet friendly. Not only that, but 71-percent have made a significant life change because of their fur baby.

The same amount agree that they’d benefit more from a pet friendly office now than before the pandemic. The biggest surprise? Most of us would take a pay cut if they could bring their pet to work.

Other takeaways include:

  • Eight in 10 say spending time with their pet boosts their mental health
  • The same amount feel less workplace anxiety when their pet is present.
  • 87 percent view their pets as part of the family
  • 57 percent feel guilty taking care of their pet during working hours.
