The original, legendary Billy Joel band has reunited and they’re coming to Harrisburg Friday, August 18, 2017 at 8 p.m. The Lords of 52nd Street will perform at the Scottish Rite Theatre in Harrisburg as a fundraiser for the Hershey Symphony Orchestra.
Named by producer Phil Ramone during the making of Billy Joel’s album “The Stranger”, the Lords of 52nd Street are the legendary musicians who recorded Grammy-winning albums and toured all over the world with the “Piano Man.” They helped create some of the most recognizable sounds in music; recording the sax, drum and guitar solos on more than one hundred million albums.
The band is led by Richie Cannata on saxophone, Liberty DeVitto on drums, and Russell Javors on rhythm guitar. They have worked individually with multi-platinum artists, lending their talents to other great musicians and bands as well. After more than 30 years, the musicians have finally reunited and haven’t missed a step with a mind-blowing show packed full of Billy Joel hits.
Tickets range from $25 to $39 and are available at www.HersheySymphony.org or by calling the Symphony at 717-533-8449. The Scottish Rite Theatre is located at 2701 N 3rd Street in Harrisburg. Parking is free.
