Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Self-Quarantining

Pennsylvania State Police trooper self-quarantining after testing positive for COVID-19

The Pennsylvania State Police say one of their Troopers is self-quarantining at home after testing positive for COVID-19.

According to an agency spokesman, the trooper is the only state police employee, enlisted or civilian, to test positive for the virus to date.

State Police say the trooper has been self-quarantining at home since March 19, 2020. Another trooper who had close contact with the trooper that tested positive is also self-quarantining at home as a precaution.

PSP officials say they will not release information about which county the trooper worked in or the specific barracks they were assigned to.
