(Harrisburg, PA) -- State health officials are providing updated guidance on how to safely reopen P-A's schools. Thursday's announcement says that masks must be worn by students and staff at school and while on the bus with some exceptions, a symptom screening is to be done before kids leave for school, and social distancing is to be maintained throughout the school day. They are also encouraged to serve packaged meals and avoid cross-table seating. Each school must have its COVID-19 mitigation plans approved by the school's governing body and made available on the school's public website before bringing students and staff back to campus.

(Chambersburg, PA) -- A man from Chambersburg is accused of making and disseminating child pornography at this home. David Robinson was arraigned Wednesday and taken to Franklin County Prison after being picked up by state police. The 31-year-old is accused of assaulting a nine-month old female at his home and posting those images online.

(Harrisburg, PA) -- Governor Tom Wolf says there is 50-million-dollars in grant funding available to give hazard pay to employees. In an announcement Thursday, Wolf said the funds will help businesses retain employees, ensure that Pennsylvanians keep working and avoid disruption of critical goods and services. Eligible businesses can apply for grants up to three-million-dollars.

(Harrisburg, PA) -- The P-A Department of Health is announcing 781 new COVID-19 cases statewide. That brings the Commonwealth's total to 98-thousand-446 confirmed or probable cases since the start of the pandemic. There are 16 more deaths announced Thursday, with the death toll rising to 69-hundred-73.

(Carlisle, PA) -- Police in Carlisle are asking for help finding the gunman in a deadly shooting earlier this month. On July 2nd, Paul Laney was shot and killed while in a vehicle that crashed near West Penn and North West streets near Memorial Park. A passenger in that vehicle was shot in the hand but was expected to recover. Anyone with information on the shooting can contact Cumberland County Crime Stoppers, with a reward of up to two-grand for information leading to an arrest.
