(Harrisburg, PA) -- A Harrisburg man is headed to prison for possession with intent to deliver fentanyl. Samuel Velazquez will serve at least eight-and-a-half years in prison after being arrested in November 2018. The 27-year-old was a passenger in a vehicle that was searched during a traffic stop, with 88-grams of fentanyl found. The drugs have a street value of $15,000 and could have filled as many as three-thousand-baggies.

(Lower Paxton Twp., PA) -- There is still no sign of a missing Lower Paxton Township teen who went missing over the weekend. Authorities have been searching the Appalachian Trail for 13-year-old Destiny Snyder, who left her home Saturday. Family members say they received a tip that had the girl headed for the Poconos. Anyone who has information on her whereabouts is asked to contact Lower Paxton Township police.

(Harrisburg, PA) -- The 2021 Pennsylvania Farm Show is moving online next year. The Department of Agriculture’s Russell Redding announced yesterday they are cancelling the in-person event set for January 9th through the 17th at the PA Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Redding did say they are looking to see what they can do to have some type of food court offerings

>>Reading Man To Spend Life In Prison For Deadly Lebanon County Shootings

(Lebanon, PA) -- A Reading man will spend the rest of his life behind bars for killing two other men execution-style as they traveled down a Lebanon County highway. Gilberto Torres Reyes will serve two consecutive life terms for the murders of Alexis Perez-Garcia and Jelson Ortiz April 9th, 2018 after allegedly robbing the Riverfront Credit Union in Wyomissing. Reyes shot the two as they were driving along Route 72 in Cornwall.

(Harrisburg, PA) -- PA Attorney General Josh Shapiro is joining an effort to maintain and restore procedures with the United States Postal Service. Wednesday, Shapiro announced the filing of two multi-state federal lawsuits challenging changes recently implemented at the USPS. Changes like limiting staff overtime and late or extra shifts are resulting in a delay in the delivery of mail. Shapiro maintains that these changes were made without following federal law. There is also concern that the changes could result in problems for states like Pennsylvania, who have recently made changes to election law to allow the mailing of ballots.

(York, PA) -- A man is in custody for a homicide in York last month. Police arrested 18-year-old Dasean Morris for the July 31st shooting of Kyle Hagenbuch. The shooting happened on the 900-block of East Clarke Avenue. Anyone with more information on the shooting is asked to contact York police.

(York, PA) -- York City Council is extending its open container ordinance. The vote Tuesday night extends the waiver through the end of September, allowing restaurants to continue outdoor dining along Beaver Street. Council is expected to consider another extension September 15th that would go through the end of the year.

(Upper Allen Twp., PA) -- Police in Upper Allen Township are investigating an attempted theft earlier this week. Police say two men were seen running through a front yard on the one-thousand-block of South Market Street and tried to open the door of a vehicle in the driveway. Anyone with information on the men is asked to contact Upper Allen Police.

(Reading, PA) -- Two people are in the hospital after a shooting in Reading. It happened on the 1,200 block of Church Street. Investigators said they were initially called to the area late Tuesday night, then learned that part of the incident happened several blocks away on McKnight Street. Police have not released any information about the people who were shot nor any word on arrests.

(Lancaster, PA) -- A 52-year-old Lancaster man is accused of delivering the deadly drug dose that killed a 44-year-old woman earlier this year. Todd Barr reportedly supplied the woman the drugs that led to her death on the 500-block of Longfellow Drive March 13th. Barr was arraigned August 12th and is in Lancaster County Prison on a half-million-dollars bail.

>>Berks County EMS COVID-19 Task Force Wonders Why They Were Rejected For Hazard Pay Grant

(Reading, PA) -- The state is approving hazard pay grants for many frontline workers during the pandemic, but some EMS providers say they have been left out. The grants allow organizations to give workers making under $20 an hour an additional three dollars an hour. Members of the Berks County's EMS COVID-19 Task Force say they don't know why the state rejected their applications. The Department of Community and Economic Development awarded 50 million dollars in grants this week, after receiving more than ten-thousand applications.

(Bethel Twp., PA) -- A one million square foot, $50-million warehouse is being built in northern Berks County. Kansas City-based Northpoint Development broke ground on the project Wednesday at Berks Park 78, off of I-78 in Bethel Township. The yet-to-be leased building could create up to 400 jobs, with 150 being immediate for construction work. It's the latest of at least seven new warehouses being built in the Bethel area.

(Reading, PA) -- Berks County’s DA says violent crime in Reading is down. John Adams says it's been on the decline since the city's homicide numbers spiked in 2018. Adams credited hard work by the investigators in his office and local and federal law enforcers. He said big busts like Operation Shattered, which put a group of violent criminals responsible for almost half of 2018's homicides behind bars, are key.

(Lehigh, PA) -- A former Republican congressman and Lehigh Valley Representative is endorsing the democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden. Charlie Dent represented Lehigh Valley for multiple terms and made the announcement during a CNN interview. He says he did not vote for Donald Trump in the 2016 election, and he won't vote for him this year. He also stressed the need for a return to normalcy to the function of government. Dent added that he doesn't think a win for Trump is probable in Pennsylvania as he claims to see a suburban erosion of his base in the Lehigh Valley.

(Williamsport, PA) -- Multiple Pennsylvania universities are confirming cases of COVID-19 only a few days after students moved in for the semester. The University of Scranton says three students have tested positive for the virus and have been placed in isolation along with six others who may have been in contact with them. Bucknell University officials say two of their students tested positive, and they must quarantine at an off-campus facility for two weeks.
