>DCP Inmate Dies After Fight

(Harrisburg, PA) -- Investigators say an inmate at Dauphin County Prison died after a fight over the summer. The DA’s office says 50-year-old Jimmy King was found minimally responsive August 29th in his cell. Fran Chardo said King had a history of fighting, including documented tussles with his cellmate. It’s unclear who he may have fought with before he died.

(Harrisburg, PA) -- A man is in custody after allegedly shooting and killing a 19-year-old woman. Frank Morris turned himself over to police in the death of Semajay Smith, who was shot and killed on the 49-hundred block of Derry Street Wednesday night. Anyone who may know what led to the shooting is asked to contact Harrisburg police.

>>Two Dozen COVID-19 Cases At SCI Camp Hill

(Lower Allen Twp., PA) -- Officials with SCI Camp Hill say there are currently two dozen COVID-19 cases among inmates and staff. They say each housing unit that has a positive is deep cleaned, with those who test positive then isolated from the rest of the population. They still have access to email kiosks, phones, and showers.

>>Nearly 16-Hundred New COVID-19 Cases Announced In P-A Thursday

(Harrisburg, PA) -- State health officials are reporting nearly 16-hundred new COVID-19 cases across P-A. The increase puts the total number of confirmed or probable coronavirus cases at 177,520 since the start of the pandemic. There were 21 more deaths related to COVID-19 complications announced Thursday.

>>Massachusetts Man In Custody For Deadly Shooting In Carlisle

(Carlisle, PA) -- A man from Massachusetts is in custody for a deadly shooting yesterday morning in Carlisle. Sean Roberts is accused of killing a woman on the 100-block of East High Street. He’s in Cumberland County Prison facing first degree murder charges.

>>East Pennsboro Township Police Ask For Help Finding Credit Card Thief

(East Pennsboro Twp., PA) -- Police in East Pennsboro Township are asking for help identifying a credit card thief. The suspect was captured on surveillance cameras using the stolen cards at several stores. He reportedly took the cards from a car at the West Shore Country Club September 25th. Anyone who recognizes the man is asked to contact East Pennsboro Township police.

>>Commissioners Authorize Audio, Video Record Of Berks Mail-In Ballot Count

(Berks County, PA) -- An audio and video recording will be made of the Berks County mail-in ballot count. Berks County commissioners authorized the recording yesterday of the opening and scanning of mail-in ballots for the general election. Workers and volunteers will open the ballots in a ballroom at the DoubleTree Hotel on Election Day before they are moved to the Services Center so the votes can be counted.

>>COVID Testing Site Today At FirstEnergy Stadium

(Berks County, PA) -- FirstEnergy Stadium is set up today as a COVID-19 testing site. Berks County officials are increasingly concerned about a rise in COVID-19 cases. The Director of Emergency Services says the county's positivity rate is now at 14-percent. The rate over the summer months was steady at ten-percent. Hospitalizations are also up compared to the summer.

>>PSP Want To Identify Lancaster Riot Suspects

(Lancaster, PA) -- Pennsylvania State Police want to identify two male Lancaster riot suspects. PSP believes they are responsible for damages to a police vehicle near Laurel and Union streets during the riots following the police shooting of Ricardo Munoz. Police say the suspects shattered the window and dented the body of the vehicle. 

>>Interchange Named For Cumru Township Iwo Jima Marine

(Berks County, PA) -- A Berks County interchange is now named for a Cumru Township Marine who served in Iwo Jima. A sign was revealed yesterday designating the Mohns Hill Road interchange on Route 22 as the Corporal Mahlon L. Fink Iwo Jima Memorial Highway Interchange. Representative Mark Gillen and Senator Judy Schwank attended the ceremony. Fink received a Purple Heart for his service at the Battle of Iwo Jima. He died last year at the age of 93.  

>>Filming Underway In Reading On Independent Mob Movie

(Reading, PA) -- Filming is underway in Reading on an independent mob movie. A red brick warehouse in the 500 block of Canal Street is the central location in the film titled The Mick and the Trick. The production includes a 40-person cast and crew.

>>Governor Tom Wolf Supports Affordable Care Act

(Chester County, PA) -- Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf is continuing the call to protect the Affordable Care Act. Wolf says the U.S. has the highest healthcare rates of any developed nation in the world and less than average outcomes. He added that the ACA provides health care to more than one-million Pennsylvanians and protects those with pre-existing conditions in the time of the COVID-19 pandemic.

>>Students At Misericordia University In Quarantine

(Dallas, PA) -- More than 90 students from Misericordia University are in quarantine after several tested positive for COVID-19. Officials say last week about 60 students were tested for the virus, and eight turned out positive with a few of them being resident students. More than half of the 91 who are in quarantine are commuter students. Since July, the university has counted about 26 cases of the virus on campus.
