(Baltimore, MD) -- Maryland Governor Wes Moore has declared a state of emergency after a container ship crashed into a heavily-traveled Baltimore bridge causing a major collapse.

The bridge immediately collapses- multiple vehicles were on the bridge.

Rescue work is ongoing

(Baltimore, MD) -- Rescue crews are on the scene of a major disaster in Baltimore after a container ship struck the Francis Scott Key Bridge. A massive collapse followed as the ship then caught fire and sank. A number of vehicles are reported to have fallen into the water, while there's been no word yet on deaths or injuries. The incident is being treated as a mass casualty event.
