KISS played their final live show late last year, but their legacy will continue to live on in the form of avatars. On Thursday (April 4), it was revealed that Pophouse Entertainment, the Swedish company behind KISS' upcoming avatar shows and the ABBA Voyage tour, acquired the band's music catalog and rights to branding in a $300 million deal. That means Popcouse now owns everything from KISS' music to their logo and likeness (yes, that includes makeup designs).

“We have a lot of plans for KISS,” Pophouse CEO Per Sundin told Billboard. “We want to keep to the legacy. We want to extend it and amplify it for new generations.”

Added Johan Lagerlöf, Head of Investment at Pophouse [via Music Business Worldwide]: “The band has consistently been able to appeal to new generations of fans and our mission is to fulfill the band’s vision to become immortal, and to let new generations discover and be part of the KISS journey and carry it forward. With the help of the fans’ energy, the band, our expertise, and creativity — we will make that vision happen.”

Shortly after playing their last show at New York's Madison Square Garden, KISS revealed the avatar tour is set to launch in 2027.
