Star Alliance Partners - United & Lufthansa - just increased air service between the U.S. and Germany.  If you are flying international get a direct flight if possible ; check and double-check country and airline requirements ; make copies of your vaccine card and keep separate from the original ; plan carefully and be over prepared. Yesterday United announced it will overhaul its domestic fleet with the largest jet order in history.

LAND:

AAA is predicting almost 48-million Americans will travel during the upcoming July 4th Holiday and that’s just 2 ½ % fewer than July 4th, 2019.

SEA:

Viking returned to cruising in Iceland two days ago – the first of 19 roundtrip sailings from Reykjavik – and will also have 3 Viking ships sailing roundtrip from Malta on Mediterranean Cruises next month.  Silversea will also begin roundtrip cruises from Reykjavik, Iceland next month – and will return to Alaska roundtrip from Seattle starting July 29th.  And…this past Saturday, Celebrity Edge was the first cruise ship in 15-months sailing from a U.S. port – roundtrip Ft. Lauderdale to the Caribbean with 99% of the 1200 onboard passengers vaccinated and not wearing masks. The overwhelming positive feedback – this first cruise feels very normal…finally.
