How much do we truly despise traffic? Enough to bail on a once-in-a-lifetime experience just to dodge the gridlock.
I have left many a concert before the final encore.
Recently, someone posed the question: Have you ever cut out of a major event early just to avoid the rush? The answer? A whopping 80% of us have pulled that move at least once—whether it’s ditching a concert from your favorite artist or bailing on a thrilling sporting event.
Of course, not everyone gets away unscathed. A third of those who left early admitted to regretting it—missing that epic encore or losing out on witnessing their team’s dramatic comeback.
It gets even more telling: 74% of people said they’d attend more events if they didn’t have to worry about traffic turning into a nightmare. Seems like the real obstacle isn’t the show, but what’s waiting in the parking lot afterward.
