Over the weekend, the Columbia Borough Police Department in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, arrested a suspect who threatened to ruin Christmas. On Saturday (December 6), police responded to multiple calls about a man dressed as Santa Claus causing a disturbance at the Turkey Hill store on Linden Street. The man allegedly threatened to spoil the holiday while Saint Nicholas was distributing free Christmas trees.
Upon arrival, officers found the suspect attempting to flee in a multicolored tow truck belonging to Unlimited Towing. During a search, police discovered pine needles in his pocket, which the suspect claimed were not his. Despite his attempts to escape, officers quickly apprehended him. The individual was identified as the Grinch.
In a festive twist, Saint Nicholas, the victim of the incident, chose not to press charges, opting instead to embrace the spirit of Christmas. The Grinch was released with a written warning and a trespass notice, barring him from entering the borough indefinitely. The Columbia Borough Police Department wished everyone safe travels during the holiday season.
