Harrisburg Senators Set to Open 2026 Season in April

The Harrisburg Senators are less than a month away from kicking off the 2026 Double-A baseball season, with Opening Day set for Tuesday, April 7, at FNB Field on City Island.

Before welcoming fans home, the Sens will hit the road first, opening the season on Thursday (April 2) against the Altoona Curve at Peoples Natural Gas Field. The home opener follows five days later, when the Senators host the Akron RubberDucks at 6:30 p.m. A fireworks show will cap the night to celebrate the start of the new season.

According to the Senators' official schedule announcement, the team will play 138 games total in 2026 — 69 at home and 69 on the road. The home slate at FNB Field includes a record 18 fireworks shows and a new videoboard system for fans to enjoy.

Most weeknight home games will start at 6:30 p.m., with Friday games at 7 p.m., Saturdays at 6 p.m., and Sundays at 1 p.m., though some times may vary. Fans can also expect the return of popular theme nights, including the Mayflies, Los Playeros de Harrisburg, and the City Island Luaus.

Senators President Kevin Kulp is eager to get the season started. "We're always excited at the thought of welcoming fans back to the ballpark," Kulp said. "We have a lot of really fun, creative ideas and changes coming that we can't wait to share with fans here."

A highlight of the summer schedule will be the Saturday, July 4, game, which will feature the team's biggest fireworks show of the season in honor of the America 250 celebration. The final home series of the year begins Tuesday (September 1) against the Altoona Curve.
