>State Police Increasing Holiday Driving Patrols
(Harrisburg, PA) -- State officials say they want drivers to be safe over the Labor Day holiday weekend and are asking them to take simple precautions. Officials say anyone planning to drink should have a designated driver or another plan to get home. They also say people who take prescription medicine with warnings that say "don't drive after taking" need to heed that. PennDot officials say state officers see impairment as impairment, no matter what caused it. There will be increased police patrols throughout the state and region over the holiday weekend.
