Artist Sells Invisible Sculpture At Auction For Some Big Money

Italian artist Salvatore Garau recently sold a sculpture that he calls "I Am" for big money at auction, but there's a catch.

The sculpture is INVISIBLE.

According to art website Hype Beast, Garau says the invisible piece is a metaphor of our time, and the void "has energy that condenses and transforms itself into particles, in short, in us!"

How much is something like that worth? Apparently around $18,000, which is what someone paid for it.

The buyer didn't go home empty handed tough. They got a Certificate of Authenticity.

Oh, and the artist also suggested the buyer display the piece in a 5x5-foot area, free from obstructions.

Garau also posted a video of the invisible sculpture on Instagram. You can check that out below, but you have to use your imagination!

Wonder if the buyer used invisible money to pay for it?
