State Student Aid Agency Extends FAFSA Completion Deadline
(Harrisburg, PA) - Pennsylvania students will have an extra month to complete the federal aid application that determines their eligibility for grants. The state's agency that administers the student grants voted Thursday to push back the Free Application for Federal Student Aid deadline to June 1st. They say the decision was made due to a high number of errors and delays from the federal government's introducing a supposedly simpler process to apply. A spokesperson says students who submit their applications by the new deadline and meet the criteria for receiving an award will be assured of getting one.
