FLOOD WARNING for the area in RED: Please put off travel until conditions have improved. The southeastern part of Central PA has seen so much rain recently that it's not going to take much for flash flooding to occur. This is where the flood risk will be more significant.
Always be on guard for flooded roadways when travelling and never attempt to cross! Much of the region is under a Flood Watch through late tonight.

Current Conditions In Mount Joy
- Route 283 is heavily backed up with traffic crawling in both directions
- Vehicles stuck in floodwater were reported near Route 772 and North Barbara Street
- Water rescues are underway throughout Lancaster County, including Mount Joy Township
- Nearly six inches of rain fell in Rapho Township, contributing to widespread flooding
Harrisburg, Elizabethtown, and City Island have seen water rescues and road closures
Route 283 and I-81 are at risk for flash flooding and traffic delays
Emergency crews are responding to multiple incidents, including a person rescued from the Susquehanna River
