A juvenile has died after being hit by a vehicle while riding a scooter in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, on New Year's Eve (December 31). According to Pennsylvania State Police, the incident occurred around 6 p.m. on Churchtown Road, south of Mast Road in Salisbury Township. The juvenile, whose name and age have not been released, was struck from behind by a Dodge Caravan traveling south on Churchtown Road.
The impact threw the juvenile from the scooter, causing them to land at the edge of the road. The victim was transported to Reading Hospital in critical condition but later succumbed to their injuries. The Dodge Caravan involved in the crash was towed from the scene, and state police are conducting an investigation into the incident.
